SkiDay is Coming Sunday, August 16th, 2009!

This year's SkiDay will be held on Sunday, August 16th from Noon until 5:00PM at a yet-to-be determined beach on the Ohio River near Evansville, Indiana.

What is SkiDay? Simply put, SkiDay on the Ohio is a big boating party.

Ahead of its time, SkiDay paved the way as a template for many of the large boating events that are now commonplace on rivers and lakes throughout the country. And now, 31 years later, this boating “mega party” has evolved into one of the largest river beach events in the United States.

In addition to the music and on-air personalities from the best two radio stations in the world, SkiDay boasts two wildly popular events that are iconic to the thousands of SkiDay attendees; "The King of the Beach Competition" and of course, "The World Famous SkiDay Bikini Contest".

But, and make no mistake about it…although SkiDay on the Ohio is presented as a day of music, contests and prize giveaways, the actual "event" is you, the boaters of the Tri-State, getting together for one day to celebrate your favorite pastime. Now the "must go" event on the Tri-State boating social calendar, SkiDay is considered by area boaters as "our day to party"!

So what is SkiDay?” As Sunny O’Beach would explain, “SkiDay is Spring Break and Mardi Gras in a Blender, Dude!” and after 31 years, this year’s SkiDay was one fine concoction. Enjoy!
